WORLD FAMOUS GLEASON'S GYM IS HOST TO FIRST
"BATTLE OF BROOKLYN"


World famous Gleason's Gym, in Brooklyn NY, was the scene of USKBA ACTION SPORTS Promoter Spring 2005 Elite Tournament's "BATTLE OF BROOKLYN" on April 30, 2005. This all amateur event showcased bouts in San Da, Full Contact Kickboxing, Freestyle Sambo and Thaiboxing. Two elimination style challenges for "BATTLE OF BROOKLYN" title belts were also featured in Freestyle Sambo and San Da and a "BATTLE OF BROOKLYN" title bout was featured in Full Contact Kickboxing.

In the "BATTLE OF BROOKLYN" San Da Elite Tournament; The Semi Final bout saw ANDRAS GAL defeat JOHN PUGLIESE by unanimous decision (29-28, 30-27, 29-28). Gal moves on to the Finals. In the Finals, MAXIMILLIAN CHEN defeats ANDRAS GAL by unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27).

In the "BATTLE OF BROOKLYN" Freestyle Sambo Elite Tournament; The Semi Final bout saw PATRICK HINTON defeat CHRIS REITZ by submission (gi choke) at 5:25. Hinton moves on to the Finals. The second Semi Final bout saw ERIC URESK defeat VLADISLAV KOULIKOV by submission (heel hook) at 1:55. Uresk moves on to the Finals. In the Finals, ERIC URESK defeats PATRICK HINTON by points (6-3), at the end of the 10 minute time limit.

In the "BATTLE OF BROOKLYN" Full Contact Kickboxing Heavyweight Title bout; ANTONIO de los SANTOS defeated DEREK WATSON by split decision (39-36, 28-26, 36-38).
