The American Sambo Association offers various levels
of membership tailored to your specific needs:
PROFESSIONAL CLUB MEMBERSHIP - $200 USD per year
Professional Memberships are for Sambo schools or other martial art schools that endeavor to include American Sambo Association training principals into their curriculum. A professional level membership is not a franchise and does not require schools to conform ranking systems to any particular standard. Our goal is not to standardize your training routines. Rather, we hope for integration of principals of training, movement, and technique into your current curriculum. Sambo is a martial art born of diversity and the American Sambo Association supports diversity in their Professional Member Clubs. A Professional Membership requires a high level of commitment on the part of members.
PROFESSIONAL MEMBER SCHOOLS WILL RECEIVE:
- Permission to use the credential "Professional Member School in Good Standing
of the American Sambo Association" (pending application approval)
- Two copies of a membership certificate for display in your school. Owners
of more than one school will receive an additional certificate for each school enrolled
- 15% off services and products offered by the American Sambo Association (for all actively enrolled students of your club)
- Inclusion in the American Sambo Association e-mailing list and information network
- Permission to submit news and event announcements for inclusion in our
e-mail newsletter
- Opportunity to place a link including e-mail, website link, contact information, and a brief description of your school on the members page of the Association website
- Voting privileges in the annual Pioneer of American Sambo Award
- And More...
PROFESSIONAL MEMBER SCHOOLS ARE REQUIRED TO:
Attend the annual American Sambo Association Sambo Summit Training Camp and keep an ongoing log of all training hours acquired at Sambo seminars, camps, private lessons, and classes with qualified Sambo coaches. Your log will be visible on the ASA member page. You are responsible for reporting to the ASA your hour updates. Your club will receive as bronze, silver, or gold medal club rating as you increase your training hours.
AFFILIATE CLUB MEMBERSHIP - $125 USD per year
Affiliate Club Memberships are for Sambo or other martial art schools that endeavor to include American Sambo Association training principals into their curriculum. An Affiliate Membership is not a franchise and does not require schools to conform ranking systems to any particular standard. Our goal is not to standardize your training routines. Rather, we hope for integration of principals of movement and technique into your current curriculum. Sambo is a martial art born of diversity and the American Sambo Association supports diversity in their Affiliate Member Clubs.
AFFILIATE MEMBER CLUBS WILL RECEIVE:
- Permission to use the credential "Affiliate Member School in Good Standing
of the American Sambo Association" (pending application approval)

Individual Memberships are for Sambists or other martial artists that endeavor to include American Sambo Association training principals into their own training. Our goal is not to standardize your training routine. We do not offer ranking. Rather, we hope for integration of principals of training, movement, and technique into your current training routine. Sambo is a martial art bornof diversity and the American Sambo Association supports diversity in their Individual Members.
INDIVIDUAL MEMBERS WILL RECEIVE:
- Permission to use the credential ÒMember in Good Standing of the American Sambo AssociationÓ (pending application approval)
